What to share and what not to share?

Players approach Monopoly GO! differently. Some are very competitive, while others play casually.
As you add more friends, you also increase the number of players who can shut down your landmarks
or target you in bank heists. Because of this, it is important to understand what information is safe
to share and what information should remain private.

Safe to Share: Invite Link and Friend Code

It is perfectly safe to share your invite link or your friend code if you want others to add you as a friend.

How to find your invite link or friend code:

  1. Open Monopoly GO!
  2. Tap the “Friends” icon in the bottom-right corner
  3. A pop-up will appear showing:
    • Your Invite URL, which allows others to add you by tapping the link
    • Your Friend Code, which others can enter by tapping the magnifying glass icon

Both options are designed specifically for adding friends and are safe to share.

Never Share: Your User ID Number

While your invite link and friend code are safe to share, your user ID number should never be shared with anyone.

Your User ID is used for account identification and customer support purposes and should remain private.

How to find your User ID (for your own reference only):

  1. Open the app
  2. Tap the icon that looks like a crosswalk in the top-right corner
  3. Tap “Settings”
  4. Your User ID number appears on the left side of the screen

Do not share this number on social media, in comments, in private messages, or with anyone claiming to be support unless you are contacting official Monopoly GO!/Scopely support through the app.
